Beasts in the playground

2019

video, sound, neon, embroidered garment, coated steel, poetry on the wall

“Beasts,” as a metaphor for uncivilized etheric bodies, are seeking self-affirmative alignment and stillness in the illustrative programming language of shake-relax-groove.

“Playground” is a fluid site allows the performing of a brainless adolescent play in rhythmic noise and texts, images and typography, tactile textures and lighting.

Song of the savages
The great wonder of the civilized beings
be it a plane or a bird?
A slowly approaching body
flushing blood vessels
The beasts and the insects
overwhelming sensations
Some are climbing the trees
Some are fishing
Some are practicing golf
Some are playing with WeChat
The philosopher is learning to balance
