an iridescent cube is a fictional site and a real happening venue
which transcends the mediated gaze inside out, a dream container
As part of the MFA thesis show at the School of the Art Insitute of Chicago, Iridescent Cube is a survey on the fluid space carving out at the edge of underground rave culture and the institutional site, seeking a new way of refuge forming in art, poetry and dance.
The goal of "an iridescent cube" is to create a physical space that transcends the limitations of the mediated gaze, and instead offers a more direct and
immersive experience for those who enter it. It represents a space that exists both inside and outside of us, a manifestation of our imagination and desires that can be shared and experienced with others. It invites us to explore the interplay between our physical bodies, the environment, and the emotions and sensations that arise from those interactions.
